Hampton Inn & Suites in Fultondale Rebuilds After Tornado

On January 25, 2021, the Stafford-owned Hampton Inn in Fultondale, Alabama sustained significant damage when a tornado swept through the Birmingham area. No injuries were sustained, however the hotel was a total loss.

More than six months later, we are excited to share that we will soon begin construction a brand new hotel. The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Birmingham Fultondale will feature 89 modern and spacious rooms and offer travelers high-quality, value-added amenities including a fully equipped fitness center, meeting space, a 24-hour business center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free breakfast. The hotel is anticipated to open in the fourth quarter of 2022.

“The tornado that swept through Fultondale six months ago devastated the community.” said Frank Jones, President and CEO of Stafford. “While we look forward to breaking ground on our brand new hotel in August, we continue to feel immense gratitude for the health and safety of our guests and associates that were unharmed, and for the heroic efforts of the first responders throughout the area in the aftermath of January’s deadly storm.”

Stafford’s plans to rebuild have been covered by The Birmingham News, AL.com, and the Birmingham Business Journal.
