Last week, Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee and her team visited the Tesla Superchargers in Tifton, Georgia as they made their way from New York to Miami.
Developed by Stafford, these chargers have welcomed road trippers from all over the country, many of whom choose to make a night of it and stay at one of our nearby hotels, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott and the Hilton Garden Inn.
The section of I-75 where GMA filmed was one of the first in the nation to be completed after President Eisenhower signed the legislation for the Interstate Highway Program. Stafford was instrumental in helping Tifton acquire and develop six exits along the interstate – now home to hotels, restaurants, service stations, and many other businesses.
